Orbifilt® - Filter modules
The filter modules are safety systems with specific filter layer dimensions connected in a lenticular shape to the central armature of the sealing rings where the clear and stable filtered liquid flows.
Using the ORBIFILT filter modules, a plate filtration effect is obtained with simpler, more efficient and safer management since they are placed in the appropriate hermetically sealed ORBICOL* containers.
The number of ORBIFILT modules in the ORBICOL containers can vary and therefore the filtration area can be increased or reduced with specific methods of adaptation to the needs of use.
Special options
Filter modules can be set with fewer discs per unit than the standard number of 16. For high-capacity dirt, spacer supports are installed between the discs to reduce the number of discs. ORBIFILT filter modules find application in the beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetic industries as well as in biotechnology applications, wherever it is economical to utilize the advantages of filter sheets in a hermetic filtration process system. Filter sheets from the entire HOBRA manufacturing range can be used in ORBIFILT filter modules.
Orbifilt 12"
Orbifilt 12 is a standard filter module 12" (294 mm) in diameter. The filtration area of one disk is 0.115 m2, and with the number of 16 disks, the total filtration area of one module is 1.8 m2. The total height of the filter module is 272 mm.
Orbifilt 16"
Orbifilt 16 is a standard filter module 16" (404 mm) in diameter. The filtration area of one disk is 0.228 m2, and with the number of 16 disks the total filtration area of one module is 3.6 m2. The total height of the filter module is 272 mm.
